Apprentice Mechanical Designer Level 4 - Oxley (Wolverhampton)
A fantastic opportunity to join a world leading engineering company. The role will involve operating CAD using Catia version 5, producing CAD 3D models and manufacturing 2D drawings, working with manufacturers of components and liaising with customers to deliver a quality product to cost, ensuring a high level of quality to specific timescales.
Role
- Continuous Improvement activity targeted at all aspects of Alstom performance
- Design of mechanical installation
- Production of mechanical drawings and models
- Integration of mechanical systems
- Field modification instructions generation
- Request for test generation
- Response to technical queries
- Investigations and solutions of major technical problems
- Technical document production
Training
- The apprentice will complete the level 4 Engineering Manufacturing Apprenticeship
- Training will take place at a college on day release
- This will be on a day release basis
- Training and assessment will also take place at the Traincare Centre
- Alstom offer opportunities to extend Apprenticeship learning through to degree and chartered status if the candidate is suitable and the business need exists
