Application Maintenance Support Associate

We are currently seeking an Application Maintenance Support Associate who is looking for an exciting and challenging career with Accenture ' an employer that enables you to make a real difference.

Main responsibilities

-Provide AM support to the UK Health project covering: PACS, centralised RIS, Breast Screening Integration.
-Support the investigation of High Severity Service Incidents (HSSI) and Problem Investigations, either independently or in conjunction with internal teams or external third parties.
-Design, build and implement changes on the SWRIS service to integrate new services and features.
-Technical review for proposed infrastructure/application changes as part of the Change Management review and approval process.
-Assist with technical training for other UK Health teams (e.g. Service Management).
-Build an extensive technical understanding of all UK Health services to allow support to external third parties and internal support to other members of the team.
-Have an appreciation of testing tools/application requirements to support services such as IMPAX 6.5.2, Oracle 11g, Linux Redhat, Digital Imagining and Communications in Medicine (DICOM), SmartCard Authentication, Central Data Store (CDS) and Breast Screening (BS);
-Build and maintain relationships with the other teams both externally (e.g. Agfa/HSS/Mawell etc.) and internally.
-Build knowledge in the Accenture GNOSIS (PACS Monitoring) Tool to allow support and/or development of future enhancements.

Required Skills
-Technical knowledge covering infrastructure and/or applications.
-Analytical thinking abilities with methodical and/or creative approach to solving complex problems.
-Pro-active and quick learner.
-Knowledge of Windows, Linux/Unix, Java, SQL.
-Knowledge/experience working with ITIL processes (incident and problem management).
-Willingness to work extended hours when required.
-Willingness/flexibility to travel if and when required.

Desirable Skills

IMPAX, Oracle DB Admin, Postgres DB Admin, DICOM software, authentication processing using SMART cards or similar product.
Knowledge of PERL and Shell Scripting.
