VNOC Team Leader / NOC Team Leader

Our client is searching for a supervisory level associate to provide leadership to their Video Network Operating Centre (VNOC) Technicians. The Team Leader will support escalation for the VNOC team in addition to providing advanced network support to their customers. Additionally, the Team Leader is responsible for people leadership of the VNOC team, including development for succession planning, annual performance processes, and day-to-day supervision. As the Team Leader, you will be responsible for directing work assignments, managing and reporting on group projects.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
*5+ years customer service experience.
*2 + years Team Lead/Supervisory experience in a technical 24/7 Network Operating Centre environment.
*Experience working in a NOC/NMC for global communications from major industry manufacturers.
*Must have existing Security Clearance or meet eligibility requirements.
*BA or BS college degree preferred.
*CCNA or similar designation is an asset.
*Additional languages are an asset
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Organise and prioritise tasks and projects.
*Develop and communicate accurate timescales for activities.
*Lead and support allocation of resources in cooperation with the VNOC Coordinator.
*Create and maintain effective documentation of control process/procedures and training tools.
*Mentor, coach, and train VNOC team members.
*Manage and respond to customer inquiries via their support line and assist with technical troubleshooting or change requests in accordance with Service Level Agreement standards.
*Troubleshoot and provide technical support to resolve customer issues for video endpoints and/or customer hosted video infrastructure.
*Monitor network outages / availability for internal and external video infrastructure devices.
*Manage configuration and testing of new video conferencing devices to ensure they are running to standards.
*Deliver projects as assigned.
*In accordance with ISO27001, you are required to abide by their security policy. You will also be responsible for promoting employee awareness of the security policy and enforcing compliance with information- asset security-controls.
*Excellent communication skills (spoken and written English).
*Fundamental knowledge of videoconferencing infrastructures.
*In-depth knowledge of MPLS/IP/VPN networks.
*Strong functional knowledge of Cisco VPN/Firewall technologies.
*Able to demonstrate Quality of Service, IPSec, GRE tunnels, multicasting and traffic balancing techniques.
*Experienced in the design and management of enterprise network routing architectures using protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and static routes.
*Virtual Server Management: VMware/ESXi/Vsphere applications.
*Able to create and apply DNS Administration SSL Certificates.
*Foundational skills in Linux SysAdmin and Configuration.
*Familiarity with MS Lync and Federation.
*Foundational Microsoft Operating System Skills
*Network Management Experience (Zenoss preferred)
*Cloud Media (Navori)
