Senior Full Stack Engineer

Senior Full Stack Developer - London (Remote) - GBP £75,000 - £90,000 DOE

A new and exciting position has recently become live with a leading Web 3.0 startup in the digital identity and blockchain industry.

They are searching for a passionate and career-driven Senior Full Stack Developer working TypeScript to join their development team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about open-source software, blockchain technology, decentralised finance (DeFi), and self-sovereign identity (SSI).

As a key member of their team , you will collaborate directly with lead engineers, taking charge of API's and user-facing application design and development.

This position requires active participation in open-source initiatives and effective communication with developers within the ecosystem.

This is a fully remote position that will allow you to work anywhere within the UK, although the core team is based in London. You will need to live and have the full right to work in the UK!

Essential Technical Skills:
* TypeScript
* JavaScript
* React or Svelte
* Node or Python
* Competence with a systems-level language such as C, C++, Rust, Go
* Mobile application development with ideally React Native however Swift, Objective-C or Kotlin will still be considered
* REST API's

Desirable Skills:
* Cosmos, Hyperledger Indy, or another self-sovereign identity framework is highly desirable
* Decentralised storage solutions
* Previous exposure to identity wallets, cryptocurrencies, crypto wallets, decentralised exchanges, lending protocols, etc

Responsibilities:
* Create and manage user-centric functionalities within primary web applications.
* Execute adaptable and user-friendly UI/UX designs, along with server-rendered reusable components utilising Svelte Kit and TypeScript.
* Collaborate closely with designers and product managers to refine user experience through feedback.
* Construct and deploy Serverless applications on cloud platforms such as Cloudflare.
* Collaborate with the CTO/Lead Engineers to establish architectural frameworks.
* Develop Web APIs for both internal and external purposes.
* Create and maintain RESTful APIs tailored for B2B engagements, complete with automatically generated API documentation.
* Implement robust authentication and authorisation mechanisms to ensure API endpoint security.
* Prioritise performance enhancements while adhering to security protocols and compliance standards.
* Facilitate documentation efforts and knowledge exchange and mentorship within the team.
