Junior Finance Analyst

As a Junior Finance Analyst, you'll be tasked with reconciling historical and future financial data to ensure data integrity and alignment with existing financial data models. Your contributions will help improve productivity and growth by delivering consistent and accurate reporting, and you'll play a key role in identifying and implementing improvements in analysis using data modelling techniques to optimise organisational effectiveness. Additionally, you'll support the company's annual price review activities and profitability reporting for customers and operations. Collaborating closely with the Finance department and other business units, you'll collect and compile data from various sources, assisting in analysing it to identify relevant trends and insights. Furthermore, you'll aid in the preparation of reports, presentations, and visualisations to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders, while also supporting research and analysis projects conducted by business analysts and the CFO. Coordinating with cross-functional teams, you'll ensure data integrity and accuracy, and you'll undertake ad hoc data reconciliation activities as needed.

Hours of Work: Permanent, Full Time, Monday – Friday 37.50 hours

Junior Finance Analyst Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; part qualified CIMA, ACCA, or similar credentials highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on financial data analysis and interpretation.
  • Proficient in using advanced Excel functions and financial modelling tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proactive and organised with a strong desire to deliver accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to also drive tasks independently.

Desirable:

  • Experience with ERP systems or financial reporting tools.
  • Previous exposure to the environmental services or recycling industry.
