IT Technician Apprentice (Level 3)
Role
Working as part of a team you will join a fast-growing busy IT Company that provide technical support services to SMEs throughout the UK on IT and telecoms products and services.
In this role, you will respond to phone calls and tickets covering the installations and maintenance of the company’s growing client base, as well as work on IT projects.
Throughout your apprenticeship you will have the opportunity to get stuck into various aspects the job to fully immerse yourself in what it means to be an Infrastructure Technician Apprentice.
Duties include:
- Answering calls and logging tickets.
- Managing low level tickets such as Full hard-drives, reboots required.
- Troubleshooting hardware and software issues using basic tools such as command prompt and PowerShell to maintain the safety of the companies networking infrastructure.
This opportunity will allow you to develop, through study and “on the job” experience, the knowledge, and skills necessary to be a valuable IT support Technician and in doing so support our efforts to deliver an outstanding IT support service to our customers.
Training
At Tiro we’re obsessed with changing lives through science and technology apprenticeships so we can’t wait to have you on board.
Over 18 months, you’ll devote a minimum of 6 hours of your working week on ‘off the job’ training. This can include theory training (for example, virtual lessons & online learning), alongside practical training (for example shadowing, mentoring, & time spent writing assignments. Together this will count towards a Level 3 Information Communication Technician Apprenticeship plus Functional Skills (if required).
You’ll be trained by an expert tutor from Tiro as well as an experienced mentor at Carden IT who together, will make sure you develop the knowledge, skills, and work habits you’ll need to succeed in your career.
Being an apprentice is hands-on, so you’ll get the chance to learn things you might otherwise not have experienced in a university or college environment.
