Clinical Systems Support Specialist

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the ICT Services department to join the Electronic Patient Record (ePR) team. Working as part of the ePR Team, the Clinical Systems Support Specialists will provide support to end users of SystemOne, EMIS and other clinical systems. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and keen to solve issues and problems, providing a high-quality service.

In addition to supporting our ePR systems the Clinical Systems Support Specialist will work within a team supporting the issuing of smartcards and ID Badges to all staff groups across the trust.

Main duties of the job

You will be highly motivated and have experience of supporting and/or using systems. Knowledge of SystmOne, EMIS and/or Cheshire & Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust would be advantageous.The role will be based in Elesemere Port but will involve travel across the Trust's footprint. A mixture of working on site and work from home is required for this position.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • Diploma in Higher Education or equivalent Or significant professional experience with a Customer Service / Technical Support setting
  • Or significant professional experience with a Customer Service / Technical Support setting

Experience

Essential
  • Experience of working as a Systems Administrator for a clinical system or similar
  • Evidence of writing and implementing operational process / procedures
Desirable
  • Experience of working with clinical systems
  • Business Continuity Planning

Knowledge and Expertise

Essential
  • Excellent knowledge of NHS Clinical Information systems
  • Experience of working to and meeting deadlines
  • Ability to explain technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Ability to run systems reports
  • Understanding of data quality issues and relevant audit processes
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel
