PA to the Practice Manager and Data Lead
Job summary
To support the Practice Manager in the effective administration and management of the practice. The PA to the Practice Manager will work under the direction of the Practice Manager, striving to enhance a number of key systems in both clinical and administrative areas.
The PA will also champion quality and improvement programmes, confidentiality, collaborative working, service delivery, learning and development, promoting a positive working environment.
Main duties of the job
Supporting the practice manager as required with projects, systems, and procedures
Providing key performance information
Supporting the input and amendment of the practice diary
work with the clinical team to identify areas for improvement in data quality
With the Practice Manager develop, coordinate, implement and manage patient recall systems
With the Practice and Operations Managers implement Ardens templates and searches throughout the Practice to ensure that income is maximised for both national and local services
Support the practice manager to ensure all funding is received and coded correctly within the accounts system
Coordinating finance and QOF reports in line with monthly targets
To work with the Practice Manager to monitor usage of the clinical system, identifying areas for development to ensure ease of use and optimum data quality
Supporting the practice manager in the maintenance of the practice and NHS Choices website
Assist and manage practice compliments and complaints
Deputise for the Operations Manager in their absence
Act as the primary point of contact for NHS(E), ICS/ICB, community services, suppliers and other external stakeholders in the absence of the Practice Manager
Review and update practice policies and procedures
Support the Practice Manager with CI and change initiatives
Manage asset registers
Maintain a working knowledge of ICS/ICB initiatives

Person Specification
Experience
- Experience of working with the general public
- Experience of administrative duties
- Experience of working in a health care setting
- Experience of working in a health care setting
Qualifications
- Degree or Higher Education Diploma
- Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
- GCSE Mathematics & English (C or above)
- Experience of working in a health care setting
- Understanding of Xero and Finance reports
- EMIS (including experience of Ardens)
