Data Quality Officer

Job summary

The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the recording of high-quality data on clinical systems, e.g. SystmOne and Emis Web. The postholder will be responsible for producing and updating clinical reports for the various services which are undertaken by Connect Healthcare Rotherham.

The role involes but is not inclusive to provide monthly/quarterly/6 monthly reports for relevant contracts, to produce statistics and generate payments between Connect Healthcare Rotherham and other services e.g. GP Practices, Public Health Rotherham etc.

As new projects and services come online, the postholder will assist in producing high quality report templates, monitor progress of projects against KPIs and produce meaningful reports for Connect Healthcare Rotherham management team as well as wider stakeholders such as local authorities.

Main duties of the job

Good data quality is essential for delivering high quality patient care and safety. Data plays a key role in improving services and decision making; as well as being able to identify trends and patterns. All of which combined seeks to improve patient outcomes.Manage own time effectively to prioritise competing demand, generally working with minimal supervisionMay be required to undertake other appropriate duties as required by Line Manager.Build good relationships with a cross section of users at individual, departmental and organisational levels. Liaise with colleagues in the support teams to proactively respond to user issues/problems as they arise.Respond to user queries providing system support in a positive and timely manner.Where new projects come online with implementation of new reporting systems, liaise closely with the supplier to ensure that configuration of any new system will provide the correct reports and integrate effectively with internal systems.Ensure that monthly/quarterly reports are accurate, up-to-date.Undertake analysis of new reporting systems, producing useable reports for internal and external stakeholders. Job responsibilities

Develop an in-depth understanding of system processes and internal configuration and how they relate to the experience of users to ensure that the system is best configures and optimised to support users in effective and efficient use of the system.

Undertake analysis of new reporting systems, producing useable reports for internal and external stakeholders. Full training will be given.

Planning and prioritise own workload on an ongoing basis and adjust tasks or activities daily as the situation requires.

Allocate work to other staff within the admin office in conjunction with the Service Manager.

The post holder will have infrequent contact with patients in this role, however when needed will strive to ensure that focus in maintained on the patient in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Follow Connect Healthcare Rotherhams policies and procedures and participate in developing procedures in line with service development.

Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources used within the course of ones own duties whilst maintaining an awareness of the financial impact of inappropriate use.

Produce reports for Finance Departments for specific services under Connect Healthcare Rotherham contract to enable payment for Rotherham GP practices.

Maintain and update own training relevant to the post. Taking an active part in the development review of own work, suggesting areas for learning and development in the coming year.

Advanced keyboard skills to operate a range of computer software.

Familiarity with various clinical systems.
