PCN Administrator

Job summary

DHC is looking for a capable and forward thinking administrator to support our Primary Care Network in Redhill. If that is you, please consider joining our friendly team. You will be contributing to providing great patient care alongside our three excellent GP practices in the Redhill Phoenix PCN, in a varied and interesting role. You will work closely with a large group of healthcare professionals and non-clinical staff, and have opportunities for training and personal development in the role. There is a limited scope for working from home.

Main duties of the job

The PCN administrator provides support with running twice-monthly PCN meetings, organising the agendas and minuting these meetings. They also support with data collection and reporting of key performance indicators for the PCN, contribute to any PCN-wide projects and help in practices with administrative tasks as required by practice managers. The role is key to the success of the PCN activities and will be based in the three Redhill Phoenix practices, as well as at DHCs head office for weekly whole-team gatherings.

Job description

Job responsibilities

The PCN Administrator will play a crucial role in the development of the Three Redhill Phoenix practices and the PCN. This role will be key to the delivery of specific PCN wide projects; arranging and providing training for the practices multi-disciplinary teams; assisting with Human Resources work in the practices; and ensuring high standards of governance across the practices and the PCN.

The PCN Administrator will work closely with the Practice Managers, PCN Manager, PCN Clinical Director and the DHC Director for the PCN. The PCN Administrator will receive clear line management from the PCN Manager and will work closely with the Practice Managers

PCNs are critical to the changing NHS and are the focal point of all locally developed planning and service delivery. This role will be key to the success of the PCN and the development of the practices enabling them to deliver on agreed projects; recruit and develop their own staff and PCN staff; meet all regulatory requirements and healthcare standards compliance ensuring a minimum of a Good rating with CQC for all practice.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • Good standard of general education (English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent level)
  • Education to A level or equivalent

Experience

Essential
  • Previous successful experience in a similar role
Desirable
  • Employment in similar industry/sector

Knowledge

Essential
  • Well-versed in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Commitment to Continuing Professional Development
Desirable
  • Knowledge of the NHS and working practices
