Information Governance Facilitator
Job summary
The post holder will provide day-to-day administrative support for the IG team to ensure the team runs efficiently and effectively. This includes, monitoring shared team mailboxes, collating and requesting information for assessments, investigations and the DSPT.
The post holder will be responsible for producing reports for presentation at the relevant Trust's assurance and monitoring groups, including the minute taking and preparing of the Information Governance Group and will also support the Information Governance Manager and IG Team in relation to general IG queries
Main duties of the job
- Expert knowledge and understanding of Information Governance standards including confidentiality, data protection and the new general data protection regulations.
- Responsible for the monitoring and maintenance of any systems or processes implemented as part of the ongoing management of compliance with all information governance legislation, including a system to record data protection decisions.
- Log complaints to the DPO and assist in collation of investigation evidence.
- Provide advice on general information governance queries, escalating more serious matters to the IG Manager.
- To participate when required at the Information Governance Group (IGG) meetings, produce and circulate reports and undertake any follow up actions.

It is essential you have experience working within an Information Governance team, or have a good understanding and knowledge of IG and Data Protection.

Qualifications
- Demonstrate a high level of commitment to the provision of an efficient and effective service
- UK compatible Driving Licence.
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrate a high level of commitment to the provision of an efficient and effective service
- Have a flexible approach to working.
- Clear communicator with excellent writing, data entry and presentation skills, capable of constructing and delivering clear information/instructions to staff and service users.
- Organisational and time management skills
- Understanding of Confidentiality and Data Protection Act 2018.
- Knowledge of NHS and Ambulance Service issues
Experience
- Significant administrative/secretarial experience including initiating and maintaining office systems.
- Demonstrable experience in dealing with the public and dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Minute taking experience at a high level.
