IT Technician Apprentice

Role

  • Reporting to the UK IT Support Services Manager
  • The primary responsibilities will be to provide IT technical support to the users of UK Europcar Mobility Group Headquarters and Rental Stations for laptops/Smartphones

Primary Tasks & Areas of Responsibility:

  • Manage Country incidents and requests submitted through ServiceNow. Incident type: hardware faults, software issues/defects
  • Request type: hardware/software installations, smartphone configuration, systems access requests
  • Mobile Management: Manage opening/closing/transfer of mobile phone lines for Country users
  • Installation and configuration of mobile devices
  • Facilitate hardware sending to remote sites
  • Provide Support and Maintenance in operational conditions for the infrastructure at HQ/Remote sites (Cabling, Meeting room and devices, Video-Conference systems, telephony, Management Room)
  • Workstation installation, configuration and support

Training

Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship Level 3 The ICT apprenticeship will enable you to provide quality support to internal or external customers and troubleshoot system issues to keep your organisation running at all times. This apprenticeship has two routes:

  • The Support Technician role is based around resolving system user queries and faults in a helpdesk environment
  • Support Technicians rectify or escalate faults rapidly to reduce the impact to their customer
  • The Network Technician role is usually desk based but may involve visits to client's premises to resolve issues
  • Network Technicians may be installing networked IT systems, including cabling and hardware, or cloud services to support expansion and better network services
  • Our Information Communications Technician apprenticeship programme integrates six modules of technical training with work-based projects
  • After completion of apprentice they will become a permanent employee, pathway to Junior IT Technician and then on to Support Technician
