Electronics Test / Manufacturing Technician Apprentice
As an apprentice, you will be spending time in different departments throughout the factory including quality, test, printed circuit board assembly, unit assembly and stores. You will learn how to test printed circuit boards, solder, assemble products, kit, booking in and out, different processes and procedures, how to wire and diagnosing faults.
Role
- Electrical and electronics testing and diagnosing root cause failure within electrical and electronic assemblies
- Assist with the functional testing of printed circuit assemblies and unit assemblies
- Diagnosing faults on printed circuit assemblies and units down to the component level
- Reading and using schematics
- P.A.T testing of manufactured products and test equipment
Training
- EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering – Product Design and Development Technician; EAL Level 2
- Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering; BTEC Level 3
- Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering;
- Functional Skills level 2 in Maths and English (if required)
- Could lead to a permanent position for the right person
