IT Support Technician Apprentice

You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a IT systems and Networking - Cloud Support Specialist - Level 3 Apprenticeship. Duties will include working as part of a team to provide technical support for customers’ existing hardware and/or software installations.

Role

  • Answer customer phone calls, log support tickets and work on them through to resolution
  • Assist to Build and Configure new hardware including Routers and Wireless, Switches, Servers, PC’s and Laptops
  • Install, configure and support Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10 Professional or higher) as well as basic support for server applications such as Microsoft email and Database applications
  • Respond to alerts from our monitoring system to provide proactive maintenance, resulting in less outages and downtime for our customers

QA’s Azure Cloud Support Specialist Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship programme enables the apprentice to:

  • Learn on-premise and cloud-enabled technologies and services
  • Learn technical content that aligns to and is relevant to employers and the market
  • Gain an Azure Fundamentals Qualification and a Microsoft 365 fundamentals qualification
  • Get an introduction to Windows, Linux and PowerShell 

Tools and technologies learned: Learners will learn to use Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows 10, AWS, Linux, PowerShell.

Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking the End-Point Assessment.

Successfully complication of the Apprenticeship would ensure an interview for a senior IT role within the business with offer of significant increased salary.
