Role
Engineering Technician, supporting production processes from diffusion through to final test.
Tasks will include:
- Supporting engineers in investigating process yield issues
- Supporting engineers in investigating and implementing process improvement opportunities
- Testing products going through trials and evaluation.
- Supporting yield improvement activities
- Creating reports on results following six sigma techniques
- Presenting idea to the team
- Participating in team projects and helping to drive improvement forward
Training
- Training given at Wilson Tools during daily role as well as attending taught sessions at New College Swindon
- After a further period of skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualification Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Technical Support
- Short term, full time Engineering Technician. With further qualifications, move up to engineer
- Options within the company are process, R&D, mechanical design, technical support or maintenance
