Solution Architect

As a Solution Architect for this well established business based in Manchester, you will be an key part of the tech governance team, as the technical design authority for all development initiatives. The role's focus will be to ensure alignment of integration patterns and best practices within the company. You will also act as the SME for the platform, defining end-to-end solutions to meet product and customer requirements.

Responsibilities of the Solution Architect:

  • Create architecture design artifacts in adherence to engineering and quality processes, standards, and principles.
  • Perform requirement analysis, assess pre-project feasibility and costing, and provide consultancy to product and business development teams.
  • Engage with customers as a SME and effectively communicate technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Act as the project's technical lead and SME, providing support throughout all development phases to ensure accurate design requirements are met.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to existing services and architectures, influencing key stakeholders when necessary.
  • Create and review technical documentation

Requirements of the Solution Architect:

  • Knowledge of design, analysis, and modelling techniques (TOGAF, ArchiMate).
  • Strong app development background with exposure to .Net and web app frameworks.
  • Experience with API-Centric architecture, microservices, and data integration techniques.
  • Familiarity with IT and Cyber Security standards and frameworks.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Innovative thinking and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment and a sense of urgency.
  • Strong multitasking and organisational/project management skills.
