HR Business Partner

About the role

The HR Business Partner plays a key role in collaborating closely with management and HR team to deliver comprehensive support and solutions across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This role will serve as a credible and trusted partner to management providing guidance on all areas but with a specific focus on aligning our talent management strategy with our business goals and objectives.

This role will work closely with hiring managers and other stakeholders to understand talent needs, develop recruitment plans, and execute strategies to attract and hire top-tier talent. Additionally, the HR Business Partner will be involved and work alongside the Head of HR in providing HR support to drive development and retention of talent within the business including L&D activity.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and develop suitable recruitment plans
  • Utilise and continue to develop various sourcing strategies to attract high-quality candidates and determine their suitability for the role through effective pre screening
  • Develop and implement employer branding initiatives to enhance the companies reputation as an employer of choice
  • Collaborate with management teams to implement talent management initiatives, such as performance management, succession planning, and career pathway development.
  • Lead succession planning efforts to identify high potential employees and develop talent pipelines for key roles.
  • Design and implement focused learning and development initiatives to build capabilities and enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Monitor and track career progression and mobility within the business
  • Work with Head of HR to design and implement performance management best practice and toolkits to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance feedback, goal setting, and development planning

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven experience in a HR role with a focus on HR Business Partnering and Talent Management or similar.
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices and employment law is essential.
  • Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders, demonstrating excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.  
  • Solid understanding and experience in Talent Management activities
  • Solid previous experience either in an in-house or agency side recruitment role, preferably from a technology environment but not essential
  • Ability to understand the needs of the business when selecting appropriate candidates
  • Ability to adopt a creative approach when recruiting hard-to-fill roles
