Network Engineer Level 4 Apprentice

We are looking for a highly motivated Network Engineer looking to further their skills & knowledge in a busy environment. You will have the ability to complete the job to a high standard, but also ensure great customer satisfaction, with a positive attitude towards our organisation and our extremely highly valued clients.

Role

  • Answering and dealing with 1st and 2nd line telephone support calls appropriately and where required dealing with problems via remote access software. Escalation of calls to 3rd and 4th line technical support where necessary
  • Logging and documentation of regular backups for Customers with test restores
  • Workshop repair work including PC and laptop repairs for
  • Consumers and also server preparation and workstation repairs for contracted clients
  • Documentation of all customer issues/cases into helpdesk system and following up of all open issues according to company acceptable service standards
  • Adhering to company procedures for individual support tasks as highlighted in the company operations manual
  • Visits to customers onsite where necessary to install or repair equipment belonging to customers
  • Visits to contracted clients onsite to carry out scheduled maintenance visits
  • Assessment of individual cases to determine whether site visits are necessary and where appropriate booking appointments in shared diary to complete these in a timely manner.
  • Participation in on-call duties via a rota system to all out-of-hours support customers (Evenings and Weekends)
  • Must be prepared to go through enhanced DBS check and MOD SC clearance

Training

The apprenticeship training is delivered through workplace learning and regular assessor visits. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills and behaviours set out in the Network Engineer Level 4 standard. On completion, the apprentice will receive Network Engineer Level 4 qualification. Functional Skills in maths and English may also be required depending on current level.   

If the apprentice is successful in their role, there may be an opportunity to continue their career and training as a full-time team member.
