Data Analytics Apprentice (LGC Ltd)

This role provides a unique opportunity to work alongside us as we support our stakeholders using cutting edge software to produce advanced analytics, and exploring new opportunities within the ever-changing analytics space, helping to shape the future of data acquisition and analytics within a global business.

Role

The post is based in Teddington, with flexibility for home working, and provides the opportunity for to experience the ins and outs of working in a Data team and exposure to market leading technologies such as Tableau, Snowflake, dbt, and SAP Business Objects.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Supporting in handling user access requests and approval process for Business Objects and Tableau as market-leading, core BI platforms.
  • Supporting Group BID&A team in delivering high-quality data solutions to business problems and supporting the queries coming through ITSM platform.
  • Research into new ideas and methodologies for preparing and delivering data and analytics solutions.
  • Bringing new ideas in terms of process automation and documentation.
  • General administration & process documentation within BIGD&A team.
  • Assisting end users with BI platform access issues or troubleshooting of reports or queries.
  • Cooperate with data engineers and analysts to deliver a quick-turnaround, high-quality service.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Data Foundations with training in how to:

  • Identify the right data sources for your business to inform decision making.
  • Collect, compile and cleanse data accurately and securely.
  • Identify, anaylse and interpret data, trends and patterns.
  • Produce dashboards and reports to aid visualization and comparison.
  • Summarise and present the results of data analysis, making recommendations for business improvement.
  • Store and archive data in line with data protection legislation.

The role offers long term security and the opportunity to progress into a permanent position.
