Power BI Developer

Power BI Developer required to work in North London on a hybrid model. This is a 6 month contract inside/outside IR35 to be confirmed and day rates also TBC, which I will know more on Monday.

• Key requirement for this role is to review a large number of disparate, inefficient Power BI dashboards and optimise them, primarily from a performance perspective (e.g: time-to-refresh), but also from a design perspective (e.g: consolidation opportunities).
• This work will require both extensive Power BI dashboard build experience, as well as excellent SQL (SQL Server T-SQL) design and coding skills to optimise the generation of the data feeding one or more dashboards.
• A migration of the current Power BI (on-premise) platform to the Power BI Azure Cloud service is currently in planning stage, thus expertise is required in each of the relevant Power BI platforms, i.e: Desktop, Power BI Report Server (on-premise) and Power BI Azure service.  

Skills required:

• To be considered you will have Power BI Desktop dashboards, MS Azure Power BI service (Cloud).
• Proven Power BI Migration to Azure skills required.
• This will require good knowledge of SQL Server T-SQL performance optimisation considerations, and the ability to redesign existing and create new T-SQL stored procedures
• There is a specific need for expertise in the new features offered in the Cloud service.
