Associate Director of Workplace Solutions Office 365
MSI Pharma are working with a leading global pharmaceutical company who are looking for an experienced Associate Director of Workplace Solutions Office 365 to join their team for an ongoing long-term project, this role is predominantly remote working with 1-2 days a month onsite. Technology Development & Strategy
- Consult on business initiatives utilizing Digital Workplace solutions.
- Establish and maintain best practices, processes, and governance for solution development and deployment.
- Ensure alignment with overall vision/strategy and technology roadmaps.
- Pilot and develop new technologies, empowering Citizen Developers.
- Manage communication, knowledge documentation, and change effectively.
- Collaborate across teams to align development with strategic direction.
- Drive continuous improvement and report on key metrics.
Daily Operations
- Manage DevOps solutions lifecycle and support during pilot phases.
- Facilitate issue resolution with service providers.
- Coordinate change management and release scheduling.
- Collaborate with service owners and third-party providers.
- Foster open feedback culture and implement improvements.
Projects and Business Change
- Drive enhancements to existing technologies and support strategic priorities.
- Champion Digital Workplace Services standards.
- Oversee prototypes, proof of concepts, and product deployments.
- Manage a community to promote best practices and showcase successes.
Workplace Experience Deputy
- Align with Director, Workplace Experience Delivery on infrastructure vision and roadmap.
- Act as point of contact and escalation in director's absence.
- Manage end-to-end delivery of BAU projects impacting colleague experience.
Vendor Management
- Lead RFP process for vendor selection aligned with CoE vision/strategy.
- Establish SLAs, monitor performance, and manage contracts.
- Cultivate relationships with global vendors and support procurement.
Technical Knowledge
- Stay updated on collaboration and productivity tools' technologies and best practices.
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft 365 landscape and solutions
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent; education preferably concentrated in IT, Engineering or Science; Master degree or post graduate coursework is preferred
Experience
- 8+ years relevant IT experience including specific experience
- Pharmaceutical/Biotech or similarly regulated environment experience is preferred.
- Deep understanding of and practical experience in Microsoft Collaboration and productivity tools, including but not limited to: Teams; OneDrive; Stream; Delve; Power Platform and other third party tools that supplement e.g. Nintex, ShareGate
- Deep experience creating business solutions based on Microsoft 365 platform development, including: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office products, such as Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, and Visio
- Knowledgeable with all aspects of the SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle) and agile methodologies
- Experience of a highly regulated IT environment or good documentation culture, including formal change management processes
- ITIL qualified, or equivalent knowledge gained through work experience
- Experience operating with outsourced service providers in an international context
- Experience managing IT projects within a global environment
- Expert level experience in translating business requirements into solutions
- Demonstrated experience in developing product roadmaps and functional specifications, launching new products, conducting customer research, and informing user testing
- Experience of Nintex workflows an advantage
- Being able to influence individuals who aren't directly managed by you
