If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and experienced team. We're looking for a creative Digital Communications and Branding Manager to join our busy team and help us deliver a sector-leading digital communications service to staff, stakeholders and residents across north east London.

We're looking for someone with initiative and an excellent eye for detail, who has a proven track record of advising on and overseeing digital communications projects and strategy, and of building and maintaining a range of digital communications platforms to reach internal and external audiences.

The role will require some days in the office, with the option to work from home on the remaining days.

Main duties of the job

Main duties

This is a specialist position that requires a broad range of technical skills and knowledge to meet the requirements. You will need to be experienced in web development, in the use of content management systems, and be an expert in using and developing websites, intranets, social media platforms, newsletters, and apps for communications. You will also need a good understanding of branding and the importance of using visual identities appropriately.

The main duties of the post include but are not limited to:

  • Having oversight of the ICB and the ICS digital presence. Leading on the development and ongoing management of our websites, intranet, social media channels, newsletters and other digital platforms as required.
  • Providing senior advice on the development and management of digital strategy and policies, along with digital plans for projects and digital builds.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve our digital processes and infrastructure, and tactics to improve user experience, accessibility, and engagement.
  • Procuring, commissioning and managing digital agencies where required ensuring good value for money and performance.
  • Leading on evaluating our online activity and digital engagement by measuring, interpreting and reporting on digital analytics.
  • Using platform insights to drive improvements and inform content creation and campaign planning.

Education & Qualification

Essential
  • Educated to Masters level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area (communications or engagement)

Experience

Essential
  • Experience managing platforms and advising on best practice including websites and social media channels, using content management systems (CMS), developing digital policies, and project managing builds
  • Experience of co-ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment

Knowledge

  • Understanding of accessibility requirements for public sector bodies
