Bromley UEC and UCR Clinical Lead

Job summary

Clinical and Care Professional Leads support south east London-wide and borough programmes of work, therefore, there is an expectation that you currently work within south east London, and for borough based roles, within that borough.

The Clinical/Professional Lead for Urgent and Unplanned Care, including the community UCR (urgent care response) standards, is a key role in leading the One Bromley system to deliver the urgent care requirements of the NHS across all settings, and to ensure safe and effect urgent care services are in place for Bromley residents. A main aim of the role is to help design and implement services that improve health and wellbeing, reduce the need for unplanned care and support relevant care pathways. The postholder will be expected to support the team in relation to managing urgent care pressures and liaison with different health professionals.

Main duties of the job

o Clinical input to the work of A&E Delivery Board in Bromley, which will include managing acute pressures (eg winter), and responding to current need, such as discharge pressures and outbreaks of infectious disease.o Inform and support local implementation of national requirements in relation to UEC and UCR, including supporting the development of local integrated urgent care serviceso Support initiative such as the Hospital@Home work (adult and paediatric) and virtual wardso Support implementation of SDEC pathways, Consultant Connect and Community Services' Urgent Response (UCR) offero Input to PCN developments that focus on meeting urgent and unplanned care needso Audit and evaluation as required

Qualifications

Essential
  • Qualified care and/or clinical professional i.e. NMC, HCPC, social work register, GMC etc. Educated to Masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
Desirable
  • Certificate / qualification in programme management, service improvement or transformation

Experience

Essential
  • Experience of transformational/innovative service delivery, productivity and/or transformation policy implementation.
Desirable
  • Previous experience of being part of peer networks and collaborative working
  • Cross organisational and/or professional boundary collaboration experience

Knowledge

Essential
  • An in-depth understanding of health and care provision and awareness of current ICS/system policies and priorities
  • Champions the principles of equality, diversity and inclusion both within and outside of the organisation. Provide effective, inclusive and compassionate leadership ensuring all voices are heard and creating and nurturing a culture where staff feel safe to speak up.
Desirable
  • Good knowledge or cross professional transformation, digital solutions and innovative redesign.
