Pre-Sales Manager

Nicholas Howard are delighted to be recruiting for a Pre-Sales Manager to join a leading Systems Integrator. We are looking for an experienced Technical Pre-Sales professional, with strong technical knowledge across a broad range of domains, from cloud and information security to networking and virtualisation. This role will have a particular interest in AI, especially conversational AI, AIOps, and automation. 

The successful candidate will join a team of Pre-Sales Managers who work across a number of technical domains, with the company now gaining significant traction in the AI/conversational AI space, so we are looking for an individual with strong recent experience in this arena, while also being capable of supporting work across other technical areas.

Key skills

  • Successful Pre-Sales delivery, including technical, resourcing and commercial specification of major projects
  • Core skills and experience in Generative Artificial Intelligence (Conversation &/or AIOps) Data Centre Migration, Cloud Migration and Managed Outsource Services
  • Strong design capabilities (medium to large engagements) – Understanding of Technical Design Authority as well as project governance and managed service (ITIL) methodologies
  • Ownership of presales engagement
  • Strong understanding of markets, opportunities and competitors, as well as business issues and challenges
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – ability to deliver effective and persuasive presentations and demo’s to Bell Integrations customers and employees
  • Excellent consulting and interpersonal skills; proven ability to influence and gain consensus
  • Structured problem solving and analytical skills
  • Collaborative working style encompassing all delivery disciplines
  • Able to lead real and virtual teams to reach one common end goal
  • Provide technical mentoring

General Skills

  • Experienced professional services/technical consultant to deliver presales engagements
  • Proven experience as a successful Pre-Sales consultant with customer relationship management, technical pre-/post-sales experience
  • Demonstrated technical design and implementation of infrastructure solutions
  • Demonstrate Service Design and Project Governance skills and experience
  • Project facilitation ensuring delivery of services set up in line with customer’s needs
  • Demonstrable ability to work as a consultant to CIO/IT Director level.
  • Manage workshop environments, taking ownership and leading all aspects of workshop facilitation.
  • Interface with Project Managers and the client’s IT staff to ensure effective delivery of services
  • Demonstrable ability to provide robust and clear feedback to customers

Technical Expertise

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent technical experience / qualifications
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Artificial Intelligence solution concepts such as conversational AI, AIOps & Generative AI
    • AI core infrastructure and supporting software components, LLM modules, ML and translation engines
  • Core platform and Operating Systems expertise and experience
    • Strong understanding of associated Core OS technologies and tools (such as DNS, Directory Services, management tools, Clustering, replication, IP/Subnets, storage, backup etc)
  • Data centre & cloud technologies and techniques
