eRostering and eJob Planning Lead

Job summary

You will lead the eRostering and eJob Planning team to ensure our systems and their use underpin the provision of safe and high-quality services to our patients, meet our financial requirements whilst also ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our staff. Your leadership must enable the team to deliver:

  • System implementation,
  • Ensure systems are maintained in line with national best practice and Trust policy,
  • Development of the eRostering and eJob Planning software to ensure optimal application and function,
  • Provision of all support and training associated with these systems,
  • Advancing the Levels of Attainment and Meaningful Use Standards.

You will represent the eRostering and eJob Planning function at professional and operational governance groups throughout the Trust including the production and provision of often complex data and reports that monitor the effectiveness of eRostering and eJob Planning system use and practice. Further to this you will be responsible for the eRostering policy and for formalised regular auditing of rostering practice across the whole organisation.

You will work with a diverse range of stakeholders across corporate, operational, and clinical teams to ensure systems and data are used to inform decision making in relation to fair and equitable rostering practice, safer staffing, workforce efficiency and controls.

The eRostering and eJob Planning Lead sits within the wider People Systems Team. as a wider function the people systems team look to oversee the management and usage of key people systems, ensuring that they operate effectively across the trust.

the eRostering and eJob Planning lead will manage the eRostering and eJob Planning team.This team is comprised of a mix of senior Technical Advisors, divisional Advisors and team administrators.The team are a group of friendly, supportive and knowledgeable colleagues who work well together to deliver an exceptional level of service to the trust. whether that be to answer individual queries about a roster or supporting the deployment and roll-out of a new system to a department.

Work experience

Essential
  • Demonstrable experience in managing a team to operational targets
  • Significant experience of rostering software application and function
  • Able to demonstrate participation in project management
Desirable
  • Successful proven change management experience
  • Experience with RLDatix eRostering and eJob Planning Software

Education/Training/Qualifications

Essential
  • Masters level qualification in relevant discipline or equivalent experience
  • Leadership/Management training or equivalent experience
  • IT qualification or equivalent experience
  • Project management qualification or equivalent experience

Knowledge/Skills/abilities

Essential
  • Data Analysis and Report writing Skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of gaining stakeholder co-operation
  • Strong IT skills including good knowledge of all MS Office packages
  • Experience of leading a team, including managing performance, employee relation matters, appraisal and development
  • Experience of translating data and information into business/patient focused objectives and initiatives
Desirable
  • A good understanding of budget management and financial planning
