Tax Assistant Apprentice (Hammond McNulty)

For our Tax Assistant Apprenticeship position, we have an exciting opportunity to work in the Accounts team at Hammond McNulty. In this role, the successful candidate will be able to advise clients on tax compliance, tax planning, tax calculations and prepare tax returns for all the whole range of UK taxes.

Role

  • Be supportive to all of the accounts and tax team and partners.
  • Comply with all necessary tax legislation but plan to make any savings that minimize tax bills for the business and individuals where possible.
  • Review of tax provisions.
  • Advise on basic tax planning where applicable.
  • Implement tax planning arrangements.
  • Work to deadlines and be a highly organised individual.

Training

Professional Accounting or Taxation Technician Level 4 (Higher national certificate) Apprenticeship Standard

Using their expert knowledge, we’ve purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

The Professional accounting or tax technician standard allows student registration with a number of UK professional bodies in this sector. If a candidate seeks to become a member of a professional body there may be other requirements specific to the relevant professional body, which may be taken as part of, or alongside, the Apprenticeship at the employer’s and candidate’s discretion.

Completion of the professional accounting or tax technician apprenticeship may lead to the candidate receiving credits towards the completion of the Professional accountant or tax apprenticeship or chartered Accountancy or taxation qualifications provided by the relevant professional bodies.  Completion of the professional accounting or tax technician apprenticeship may also result in credits being awarded towards relevant undergraduate degree programmes.

The Tax department is growing and advisory role to support the Tax manager and partner will develop.
