Radiotherapy Physics Technologist Apprentice (Healthcare Science Associate Practitioner)
Role
Key duties are providing technical services in Radiotherapy Physics, which may include:
- Radiotherapy treatment planning using specialised software
- Quality control measurements to confirm treatment equipment performance
- Work in a workshop to aid in the making of devices to support Radiotherapy
- Support to theatre activities
Training
We will aid and support you in completing a Healthcare Science Practitioner Level 6 Apprenticeship with the University of the West of England (Bristol). The apprenticeship is a three-year course resulting in a specialist qualification in Healthcare Science, providing the theoretical and practical skills required for a career as a Clinical Technologist in HealthCare Science.
The apprenticeship programme is delivered via a blended approach, including a mix of online and face to face learning (travel to the university campus will be required on occasion, this will be funded by the department).
