Engineering Technician Apprentice (Model Shop)

Role
- Producing prototypes or racking and equipment
- Milling
- Turning
- Welding
- Finished assembly builds
- Interpreting engineering drawings
Training
The apprentice will achieve a Level 3 Model Shop Engineering Technician apprenticeship. This will be on the Toolmaker pathway.
They will spend four days a week in the workplace, and one day a week at the Plymouth Engineering Skills Centre.
Qualifications to earn include;
- Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)
- Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) – Toolmaker, Tool and Die Maintenance
- Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge)
