IT Support Engineer

As an IT Support Engineer with DBS clearance, you will play a crucial role in delivering on-site technical support and troubleshooting to our clients. Your expertise in IT systems, hardware, and software will enable you to provide top-notch support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site technical support and assistance to clients, resolving hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Install, configure, and maintain IT systems, including desktops, laptops, printers, servers, and networking equipment, to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical problems, perform root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions to minimise downtime and disruptions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to escalate and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and customer satisfaction.
  • Document support activities, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and system configurations, to maintain accurate records and facilitate knowledge sharing.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in IT support and troubleshooting, with a focus on hardware, software, and networking solutions.
  • DBS clearance is mandatory due to the nature of the role.
  • Strong technical skills in desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS), Microsoft Office Suite, hardware peripherals, and networking technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities, with the capacity to quickly assess and resolve technical issues under pressure.
