IT Apprentice
Working within Responsive Engineering IT Department the successful candidate will be actively engaged in installing and maintaining IT equipment and software to support the smooth operation of the manufacturing processes. Responsive Engineering is a world class manufacturing facility on the banks of the River Tyne in the historic Armstrong Works.
Role
- General administrative duties to include; filing, scanning and archiving documents.
- Assisting in answering and dealing with IT queries. Communicating between internal departments and external suppliers to resolve any issues promptly and professionally.
- Installation and commissioning of hardware and software systems.
- To manage and maintain equipment stock levels. Use of Microsoft Office and bespoke order processing software.
- Applicants should have strong IT skills, and be able to use Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook email and be willing to learn how to use bespoke company software.
- Applicants should also be Meticulous when it comes to detail and be able to check their own work.
Training
You will work toward the Level 3 Information Communications Technician standard with Gateshead College
- Upon completion further education options can be considered to support the future development of the Technician.
- Possibility of a permanent position depending on performance.
