Engineering Manager

I'm working with a FinTech company who are ripping up the rulebook when it comes to empowering financial freedom & innovation within the UK! Their technology is next level and they've brought multiple game-changing products to the market in recent years.

They're in the process of building a new team with a focus on their platform technologies, ensuring the rest of the engineering function has the very best deployment environment, tools available & security infrastructure to thrive in their innovative product development.

First & foremost you'll be a leader who's passionate about supporting your team, leaning on your prior experience of championing platform teams and enabling them to do amazing things! You'll also be instrumental in growing out this division and supporting your team in both their day-to-day personal development & their long-term career goals.

What they're looking for

• An experienced leader of Engineering/Platform teams
• Knowledge of DevOps, platform technology or security - previous hands-on experience isn't required, leading teams in those fields is more than enough
• Excellent people-management skills and the ability to support the career development of engineers
• Experience within the Financial Services sector or a highly regulated environment would be a big bonus
• Experience within an ever-changing start-up or scale-up environment is essential - this business is slightly further down that path, but they know that there will always be change within their sector
