PCN Business Administrator - Worcester City

Job summary

As a PCN Business Administrator, you will play a vital role in supporting the network's financial, administrative, and operational functions. Working closely with the management team and network practices, you will ensure financial clarity, business efficiency, and profitability. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of general practice and population health in Worcester City.

Main duties of the job

Key Duties:

Preparation of management accounts

Creation and presentation of reports to identify results

Accurate entry of financial information into accounts software

Handling invoices for budget holder approval and payment of approved supplier bills

Completing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving queries

Dealing with finance-related queries from practices

Raising invoices for funding claims and completing monthly ARRs claims

Maximizing PCN income by optimizing income streams such as NHS contracts, claimable services, and training funds

Providing administrative support to the management team and day-to-day operations

Essential
  • Ability to problem solve and maintain objectivity

Experience

Essential
  • A good knowledge of, and experience in, general practice and primary care finance
  • An understanding of financial software relative to the NHS
  • An understanding of general practice financial systems
  • Experience of working with a wide range of stakeholders
Desirable
  • An interest in leadership within primary care and the wider health and social care system
  • Understanding of the emerging Primary Care Network contractual arrangements and the implications for general practice
  • A good working knowledge and interest in new models to strengthen and improve primary care and ideas on how to implement these for the development locally
