Software Developer

My client is seeking a skilled Software Developer to contribute to the development of a diverse range of both internal and external systems. This role will play a crucial part in their business's success by delivering new systems and implementing changes in an Agile manner across all verticals within the Group.

As a Software Developer, you will collaborate with other developers, participate in architecture and design sessions, and ensure adherence to design, security, and coding standards. Additionally, you will assist the Head of Development in estimating, planning, and managing the development teams' sprints and workloads. Your responsibilities will include actively participating in daily stand-up meetings to track progress and report any blockers.

Key functions of the role:

• Delivering solutions that are high-performing, reliable, and secure.
• Collaborating with the business to gather requirements and propose solutions.
• Managing features from backlog to deployment and beyond.
• Provides the opportunity to contribute to shaping the Development team and its methodologies and practices.
• Ensuring the smooth operation and support of the solutions you develop.

• Exploring innovative approaches to accelerate product delivery to market.

Essential:

• At least 2 years of experience in developing PHP solutions utilising the Laravel Framework.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Advanced understanding of MySQL programming.
• Proficient in using Git for version control.
• Experience with API development and Microservices architecture.

Desirable:

• Proficiency in Node.js and Ember.js.
• Familiarity with Test Automation methodologies.
• Experience with AWS DevOps practices.
• Competence in MySQL Administration.
• Understanding of UX best practices.
• Hands-on experience in Agile environments.
• Proficient in Docker.
• Knowledge of working with RPA tools like UIPath.
