Fully remote within UK, plus UK travel.


Sales focussed MD required for a small (circa 40 employee) but growing software business which has been grown out of a larger group's software needs. They have successfully worked within the public sector for years and now is the time for a new MD to expand the business across the private sector!

If you are an experienced MD from a Microsoft based software solutions company, or a Sales Director looking for the next step in their career, then this would suit you.

Your primary objective will be to drive sustainable and profitable growth, expanding the presence in the UK private and public sector.

This role requires a strong leader, who has excellent Sales, Marketing and Commercial experience in an IT solution selling environment. You will have a great track record developing organisational capability, securing significant sales and profit growth through account management and new software sales.

Hands on Sales & Commercial skills are a must, and you will:


* Evolve the existing business strategy and develop a Go-To-Market capability that delivers the required growth and profitability.
* Create and implement a sales & marketing strategy to significantly increase the capture of profitable business.
* Develop the fundamental commercial components of the business to optimise EBITDA.
* Develop a detailed business plan to reflect any changes in strategy including detailed budget predictions for the next three years.
* Develop approaches to product and proposition development
* Creating an improved professional service offering to increase margins.
* Build relationships and trust with the leadership team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment
Your background:
You will come from a Microsoft focussed software solutions environment, either as a Sales Director or MD or similar.
* Proven experience in a similar Executive-level role in the software solutions sector, preferably, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.
* Strong sales, marketing & commercial capability and experience as well as operational expertise, especially within the solution delivery sector.
* Demonstrable track record of successfully growing revenue and profit through solution sales in the private & public sector.
* Capability to validate and adjust business strategy to deliver significant profitable growth.
* Leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and guide teams through change and significant growth.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport quickly, within the business and with other key stakeholders in Group and Client organisations.
