Resource Analyst Apprentice
The South Western Railway Apprenticeship programme has officially achieved the Silver standard from Investors in People for 'We Invest in Apprentices'. Role
- In this role, you'll have the valuable opportunity to collaborate closely with our Duty Resource Managers (DRM) and Senior Resource Managers (SRM), as well as interface with Train Service Managers (TSM) during service disruptions.
- Your daily responsibilities will involve liaising with train crew to swiftly resolve on-the-day issues, including covering duties in case of absences.
- During service disruptions, you'll work alongside SRM and TSM, communicating with train crew to provide guidance on next steps.
- Effective planning, negotiation, and prioritisation skills will be essential aspects of your role.
- If you thrive in high-pressure situations and are keen to develop these skills further, this role is an ideal fit for you. It also serves as excellent preparation for future roles within South Western Railway.
Training
- Level 3 Data Technician
- The programme aims at developing skilled data analysts and you will be fully supported and mentored through your apprenticeship and be given protected time to complete your course work.
- You will be supported monthly by your business coach, have quarterly reviews involving your manager & attend 18 days of facilitated training to ensure you are fully equipped to start your career as a Data Technician.
- Training will be one day a week, but will be flexible depending on the needs of the apprenticeship course whether this will be face-to-face or online.
This apprenticeship will start your career as a Data Technician, leading you into a career as a Data Analyst.
