PA and Medical Secretary to Consultant Psychiatrist/Clinical Lead

Do you have PA/secretarial/administrative experience and want to use your skills to help support one of our Consultant Psychiatrists who is also our Clinical Lead as well as our Multi Disciplinary Team (MDT) in caring for vulnerable young people? Bluebird House is a specialist secure mental health inpatient unit, treating young people, both male and female between the ages of 12-18 years old with complex mental health problems.

Due to a recent restructure within the CAMHS Admin. Teams at Tatchbury Mount, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small friendly admin. team at Bluebird House as a PA/Medical Secretary to a Consultant Psychiatrist/Clinical Lead.

We are looking for someone that can demonstrate a good level of PA and secretarial experience including minute taking. You will need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and orally and have a methodical and flexible approach. You will need to be able to prioritise workloads in order to meet deadlines, while maintaining a professional approach. Applicants should be highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications eg Outlook, Word, Excel etc.

Main duties of the job

Provision of a comprehensive PA, medical secretarial and administrative service to the Consultant Psychiatrist/Clinical Lead for the unit and other members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) as required.

To support the Consultant Psychiatrist/Clinical Lead for the unit in all aspects of business management activity relating to functions and responsibilities, including the development and management of a comprehensive and efficient PA support service.

Qualifications

Essential
  • NVQ Level 4 or Higher Education Certificate/BTEC or equivalent experience.
  • High level of knowledge equivalent to Senior Secretarial Certificate/Diploma or equivalent practical experience.
  • English and Maths GCSE or equivalent.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development particularly organisational systems, staff supervision, business administration.
  • Driving licence with use of own car.
Desirable
  • Administrative or IT qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or 2 A/AS Levels
