Job Title:(Junior) Data Analyst

Location: Hybrid - Office based in Woking, UK. Remote work is available on Mondays and Fridays.

Salary:£30,000 per annum

Our client serves clients ranging from small shipping lines to global freight companies, offering quality data insights crucial for informed decision-making.

Role Overview:

As a (Junior) Data Analyst with our client, you will be responsible for working with extensive data sets, deciphering the underlying methodologies, and transforming variable data into coherent narratives. This role requires both collaborative teamwork and individual initiative to effectively contribute to the analysis and interpretation of shipping industry data.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyse large data sets, understanding the methodologies behind the data collection.

- Utilise established techniques or develop new approaches to derive actionable insights from diverse data sets.

- Collaborate effectively within a small team while also taking ownership of individual tasks and projects.

Key Skills Required:

- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data manipulation and analysis.

- Strong command of SQL for data querying and manipulation.

- Ability to manipulate and analyse data effectively.

- Proficiency in data visualisation tools, particularly Power BI, is advantageous.

- Familiarity with VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) is a plus.

Beneficial Skills:

- Experience with Power BI for data visualisation and reporting.

- Proficiency in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) for automation and customising Excel functions.
