Job summary

Stubley Medical Centre is recruiting two new GP Administrators to join our friendly, fun and efficient team this summer.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of this role include interacting with our patients and service users and providing the best care possible. The role is varied and can be challenging but very rewarding.

Job responsibilities

Stubley Medical Centre is an actively developing primary care practice in Dronfield Woodhouse. We opened our building in 2009 and host a number of services within the building. The practice team requires the addition of competent and organised GP Administrators to assist the existing team manage the increasing workload and continue to provide excellent patient care.

GP Administrators support the clinical and administrative teams with effective communication of the surgery's incoming and outgoing information, which would include liaising with patients to answer queries and signpost appropriate services.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential
  • GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths or equivalent

Experience

Essential
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office/ IT skills
  • Communication skills on all levels, written and verbal
  • IT skills i.e., Microsoft Office to use clinical system and documentation
  • Organisation and time management and ability to work to deadline
  • Excellent telephone manner and experience relaying accurate
  • information in a courteous and straight forward manner
  • GCSE Maths, English A*-C or equivalent
  • Administrative or clerical experience
Desirable
  • Experience of working in primary care/GP surgery
  • British sign language awareness or qualifications
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge and experience using clinical systems both Systmone (training to familiarise with Stubley practices will be given)
