Principal SRE Performance Engineer

• Location – Dublin
• Hybrid working
• €95,000 - €100,000 + 20% bonus, pension & healthcare.

Join a dynamic team as a Principal Performance Quality Engineer, supporting the integration and delivery of performance testing in a CI/CD context. Reporting to the Director of Performance Automation & Testing Team, you'll provide performance testing services across various applications, technologies, and teams within the Enterprise Technology Software Engineering Domain.

Requirements:

• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent
• 10+ years of Experience
• Proficiency in JMETER, Jenkins, and AWS (EC2/RDS/S3/IAM/Secrets Manager)
• Strong programming skills in Groovy, Bash, Java, or Python
• Experience with Grafana, Influx DB, Bitbucket, and GitHub
• Familiarity with Splunk, Datadog, and monitoring tools
• Leadership experience in cross-functional performance initiatives
• Excellent understanding of Systems Architecture and web technologies

Skills:

• Agile environment experience (Kanban, Scrum)
• Design and implementation of automated performance tests using Jenkins
• Testing APIs, HTTP traffic, and UI performance tests using Selenium WebDriver with JMETER
• Cloud experience with CloudFormation/Terraform
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and oral

Responsibilities:

• Embed integrated performance testing to support continuous integration
• Deliver application-based performance testing and ensure effective issue remediation
• Support Chaos Testing engagements and SRE Performance Governance Gateways
• Coach other Senior Engineers and continuously develop skills
• Drive continuous improvement of performance testing shared services
• Identify and support process improvements
