Graphic Design Apprentice

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative apprentice designer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design. We provide full training - so although not essential, a knowledge of any of Adobe Creative InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop would be beneficial. The role may also over time, include working alongside the web-development team.

Role

The role will include:

  • Learning key Adobe software to a proficient standard
  • Providing support taking briefs from senior staff
  • Helping with artwork and design tasks
  • Integrating with the team
  • Interpret the objectives of a brief and research ideas to meet the requirements of the business
  • Present ideas and proposals for creative content to be developed
  • Use industry standard packages to edit content

We will be giving full training - so although not essential, a knowledge of any of Adobe Creative Cloud, Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop would be beneficial. The role may also, over time, include working alongside the web-development team, so any knowledge of Figma / XD, HTML or CSS would be welcome, but not required.

Training

Hull College will deliver the Apprentice Standard - Content Creator Level 3.

We take apprenticeships seriously and we will be working with Hull College to ensure the chosen candidate has all the knowledge, skill, confidence and opportunity to have a long and fruitful career with Umber Creative.
