Apprentice Operations Technician

Veolia is looking for an Operations Maintenance Technician to join our team in Clitheroe. You will be working towards a Maintenance and Operations Engineering Technician apprenticeship.

Role

Salary: £21,424 per annum plus Veolia benefits
Location: Johnson Matthey, Clitheroe
Programme Duration: 42 Months

Apprenticeship Programme;


During this programme, we'll help you develop your practical and behavioural skills and support you in gaining the technical and professional knowledge required for you to succeed in your career.


As well as this, you’ll also gain a qualification in Maintenance Operations Engineering Technician Level 3.


With many of our colleagues starting as apprentices, you’ll receive full support and guidance from everyone throughout.

By the end of your apprenticeship, you’ll have received industry-standard training and attained qualifications that will enable you to progress and reach your full potential.


What you'll be doing;

- Operating a chemical manufacturing facility
- Collecting samples and carrying our routine tests
- Monitoring the process and documenting data
- Performing routine operational tasks to keep the process running - filter changes, preheater flushes
etc
- Carrying out routine inspections and documenting any findings
- Filling tankers and complete the necessary documentation
- Liaising with the client when required
- Carrying out some routine maintenance tasks and firefighting when required to maintain operations
- Playing an active role in the site safety culture

 

What we're looking for;

- A minimum of 4 GCSEs Grade 4/C (or equivalent) achieved or predicted, including Maths, Science & English
