The Product Expert will be working alongside the Product Owner to manage the day to day relationships with internal and external stakeholders. In this exciting opportunity, the Product Expert will capture user stories, manage the product backlog, communicate with the wider team, and perform functional testing.

What will you be doing?

  • The Product Expert will assist the Product Owner in developing a vision for a product, based on user research and discussions with stakeholders, being clear about direction and gaining support for your views.
  • Convey enthusiasm for products, leading teams, stakeholders and users to understand the meaning behind functions & services and acting as a motivating force.
  • Ensuring the release management lifecycle is applied and adhered to.
  • Manage risks and work with product vendors to resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.
  • Supporting the management of Product Leads in training and product best practice.
  • Supporting the Product Owner with management of the wider Product teams including but not limited to onshore and offshore developers.
  • Work with the Product Owner to influence the product roadmap, contributing primarily to the continuous service improvement function, enhancing the quality and stability of the platform.
  • Utilise extensive system knowledge to recommend system improvements and roadmap features into the product roadmap.
  • Remain constantly up to date with technology advances that could positively influence the system and/or roadmap.



What are we looking for?

  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • Previous product management experience.
  • Jira experience.
  • Writing user stories.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including agile techniques and traditional methods.
  • Proactive and forward thinking.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
