Solutions Analyst

Salary - Up to £38,000 with a total package up to £44,650 (bonus scheme, pension scheme)

Location - Flexible location and hybrid working with some travel to our Cannock or London office

We are currently looking for a talented Solutions Analyst to join a large data and analytics function within a leading Environmental company. The Solutions Analyst will be surrounded by like-minded people who are all trying to achieve similar goals. As a business, we are making more and more decisions based on data and you can play a big part in helping us to achieve our growth objectives.

This role reports into the Governance & Compliance Manager and will be developing and implementing effective governance frameworks and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies specifically within the data and analytics domain.

What will you be doing?

  • The Solutions Analyst will support the Governance & Compliance Manager with stakeholder activities for the solutions we are providing.
  • Understand the data platform architecture and how any solutions that are built align.
  • Establishing and enforcing data governance standards and best practices across domains, promoting data governance awareness and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.
  • Developing and implementing data processes and practices, including data lineage tracking, data quality management, metadata management, data issue resolution etc.
  • Documentation for projects that are delivered as well as build on our governance and best practice frameworks for new solutions that are deployed.



What are we looking for?

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of data governance principles, concepts, and best practices within a federated data governance model.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • High problem-solving ability and a forward-thinking approach to projects, with a keen eye for detail.
  • SQL/Python coding experience or in a similar field.
  • Knowledge of metadata management tools such as Collibra or Atlan is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Data Quality Tools such as Great Expectations or Soda is advantageous.
