Role
- WordPress Upkeep:
- Updating existing website content with fresh text, images, and videos.
- Publishing new pages and blog articles as needed.
- Ensuring all websites are optimized for search engines (basic SEO).
- Content Creation:
- Writing short blog posts or articles based on provided topics and research.
- Crafting social media posts to promote client websites or new blog articles.
- Assisting in developing ideas for larger content projects (e.g., infographics, ebooks).
- Building Skills:
- Participating in training sessions provided by the apprenticeship program.
- Shadowing senior content team members to gain insights.
- Researching the latest content trends and best practices to bring fresh ideas.
Training
- Qualification: Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship program, you will earn a Level 3 Content Creator qualification. This is a nationally recognized qualification that demonstrates your skills and expertise in content creation.
- Training Details: The training will be delivered 100% remotely by a qualified training provider. Your training will involve a mix of online learning modules, live virtual sessions, and assignments. You will typically spend 20% of your work time dedicated to apprenticeship training.
This apprenticeship opens the door to exciting digital content careers. Once you've achieved your Level 3 qualification, you'll be well-positioned for roles like:
- Junior Content Creator/Writer: Crafting content within marketing teams or agencies.
- Social Media Specialist: Developing and managing social media content strategies.
- SEO Content Specialist: Writing optimized content for websites to boost search rankings.
- Freelance Content Creator: Building a portfolio and offering your services independently.
With further experience and development, you could progress into senior roles like:
