Band 4 - eRoster Administrator, Corporate Nursing

Job summary

An excitingopportunity has arisen to join our E-Roster Team as a Band 4 Administrator.

You will be responsible for providing a high quality administrative function to the eRostering team and be the first point of contact for users of eRostering systems in the Trust. You will be supported to learn how the Trust eRostering systems work and will be responsible for regular and ad hoc system maintenance, system configuration and reporting tasks.

Main duties of the job

The eRostering Administrator position is a fantastic opportunity to take on a role within a small team with a big presence in the Trust.

The successful eRostering Administrator must have demonstrable experience:

  • Knowledge of and confidence in using a wide range of Microsoft packages including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of working with online software systems and databases
  • Experience of working within a role requiring the ability to prioritise tasks
  • Experience of working with staff roster systems is an advantage, but full training will be given.
  • Ability to use initiative and prioritise own workload ensuring deadlines are met
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work within a team and work collaboratively

Job responsibilities

As eRostering Administrator, your main responsibilities will include:

Providing the 1st line of support to system users responding to queries and issues.

Escalating work required to the relevant member of the eRostering team for further support when required.

Producing regular reports

Person Specification

Knowledge

Essential
  • Expert knowledge of IT systems & all Microsoft applications
Desirable
  • Knowledge and experience in the use and training of Health Roster suite of systems
  • Knowledge of NHS structures
  • IT and systems training and development within the NHS

Experience

Essential
  • High degree of computer literacy, to include the complete Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
  • Previous relevant experience within HR/Admin or equivalent
  • Experience of producing work which demands high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS or public sector
  • Experience of team working
Desirable
  • Experience of working in a customer service environment
  • Knowledge of e-roster software
  • Experience of using Rostering IT systems
