Project Manager (Transport)

A leading UK consultancy are offering the opportunity for a mid-level Project Manager to join the team on a long-term contract basis. The company has undergone significant growth within the past few years. As such, they have launched several strategic initiatives alongside their largest account within the rail sector. As the Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for end-to-end project delivery across these strategic initiatives which could include projects around low voltage, new tech, electric vehicles or infrastructure.

The role will be inside IR35 and may involve some infrequent travel to the central London based end client.

Requirements of the Project Manager:

• Experience of building and managing detailed change delivery plans 
• Experience of working with a variety of stakeholders – you’ll be a natural relationship builder with excellent stakeholder management skills 
• Extensive experience of working within the rail and logistics space
• Excellent organisational skills, superb attention to detail
• Confident ability in driving governance change

Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

• Provide effective leadership and take responsibility across the full delivery life cycle of assigned projects.
• Serving a demanding range of business users, managing their expectations, and taking responsibility for the delivery of assigned projects
• Act as change champion and ensure effective communication of the project objectives to the business community and project stakeholders
• Interact with key stakeholders ensuring the business expectations are managed effectively and user participation is sought where required.
