We are seeking a Digital Preservation Manager or Senior Archivist to champion the preservation of invaluable digital resources for our client based in London. 

As part of the dynamic Technology team at this world-renowned organisation, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital preservation and contribute to preserving cultural heritage for generations to come.  

The role 

Reporting to the Head of Business Solutions your duties will include: - 

• Advocacy and Leadership: 
• Promoting digital preservation awareness across the organization. 
• Collaboration with the Digital Asset Management Steering Group to set standards and drive best practices. 
• Resource Management 
• Owning the preservation of digital assets. 
• Ensuring accessibility and efficient management of digital preservation metadata. 
• Creating staff training programmes and reviewing policies and procedures to enhance digital preservation skills and Implementing metadata schemas that support preservation efforts. 

Qualifications / Experience 

• Educated to a degree level in a relevant discipline or two years relevant working experience. 
• Management of digital rich media resources. 
• Understanding of Digital Asset Management Systems 
• Adept at developing metadata schemas. 
• Experience of working on or delivering projects within Digital Preservation. 
• Collaborative working style 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Understanding of Digital Asset Management Systems
