167 Solutions is working with a leading international media and digital technology organisation looking to expand its mobile engineering team.

We are looking for experienced Mobile Engineers with strong native development experience across iOS and Android.

Whether your specialism is Native iOS development (Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit) or Native Android development (Kotlin, Java, Jetpack Compose), we would love to hear from you.

This is an opportunity to work on established, high-traffic digital products, developing new features and enhancing the performance, reliability and user experience of mobile applications used by audiences worldwide.

Candidates specialising in either native iOS or native Android development are encouraged to apply. You do not need experience in both platforms.

The Role

You will contribute to the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of native mobile applications, working alongside experienced Product, UX/UI, Backend and Engineering teams.

Responsibilities will include:

• Developing and maintaining high-quality native mobile applications.
• Building intuitive, responsive and user-friendly mobile interfaces.
• Designing scalable, maintainable and well-tested application components.
• Integrating mobile applications with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Improving application performance, reliability and efficiency.
• Contributing to mobile architecture and technical design decisions.
• Participating in code reviews, automated testing and CI/CD processes.
• Working collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams.

What We're Looking For

Native iOS Developers:

• Strong commercial experience with Swift.
• Experience with SwiftUI and UIKit.
• Experience developing and maintaining production-ready iOS applications.
• Understanding of iOS architecture, design patterns and performance optimisation.

Native Android Developers:

• Strong commercial experience with Kotlin and/or Java.
• Experience with Android SDK and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience developing and maintaining production-ready Android applications.
• Understanding of Android architecture, design patterns and performance optimisation.

For Both Platforms:

• Minimum 5 years of commercial mobile development experience.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Knowledge of debugging, automated testing and CI/CD.
• Strong understanding of mobile development best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Experience working on high-traffic, consumer-facing applications, particularly within media, publishing, subscriptions or digital platforms, would be advantageous.
