Linux Systems Engineer
Remote (Occasional travel into any of their hubs: Bristol, Manchester, London etc)
£40,000 - £50,000 DOE
My client, a leading digital services and solutions organisation for higher education, are looking for a Linux Engineer to join their support team to be responsible for maintaining, updating and securing a number of Linux Servers for their large client base.

Ideal Candidate:
- Good, concise communication skills, both verbal and written
- Able to develop technical solutions for resolution of complex issues
- Able to work in a close-knit team and alone operating in a challenging, fast moving, technical environment
- Awareness of the public relations implications of the activities of the organisation
- Able to work to a broad task specification on the basis of initiative and in a self-directed, well-motivated and flexible manner
- Able to negotiate and resolve conflicting priorities when dealing with stakeholder's needs
Experience:
- Linux System Admin
- AWS (AWS OpsWork, AWS CloudFormation, Virtual Private Cloud, EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudFront)
- Virtual Environments: VMWare Preferred
- AWS CloudFormation
- Terraform
- Apache
- BASH
- MySQL
