Cloud Specialist

Overview

A leading consultancy is seeking a Senior Technical Cloud Specialist to provide technical leadership across cloud architecture, engineering, and managed services. Working closely with enterprise clients and distributed engineering teams, you will design, implement, and support scalable cloud solutions while acting as a trusted technical advisor.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver cloud infrastructure and platform solutions.
• Provide hands-on engineering support across cloud and managed service environments.
• Lead technical discussions with stakeholders and engineering teams.
• Review designs to ensure security, scalability, and operational excellence.
• Troubleshoot complex cloud and infrastructure issues.
• Mentor engineers and support technical best practices.
• Drive consistency across architecture, automation, and cloud operations.

Essential Skills

• Experience as a Cloud Architect, Senior Cloud Engineer, or Platform Engineer.
• Strong expertise in AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Enterprise cloud architecture and infrastructure experience.
• Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code skills.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation tools, including GitHub Actions.
• Knowledge of networking, security, identity, compute, storage, and cloud services.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable Skills

• Cloud Managed Services experience.
• Knowledge of both AWS and Azure.
• Platform engineering and automation expertise.
• Understanding of DevOps, SRE, and modern cloud operating models.
• Relevant AWS or Azure certifications.
